Welcome, I’m so glad you are here!
I’m passionate about sharing Biblical wisdom, encouragement, and a touch of humor to support your fitness journey while promoting a healthy body image!
Writer
From my locked diary as an 8-year-old, to my 5 am thoughts as an adult, recording words on a page has been the best therapy! My writing on faith, fitness and a healthy body image began when God challenged the way I was looking at my own body not through the truth of His Word, but through the lens of culture and social media.
Jesus Follower
Every Sunday as a young girl, you would find our family of five at the 8 a.m. church service. With my red hymnal book in hand, we sang about the love and faithfulness of Jesus. I will never forget my short legs sticking straight off that orange pew. At age 9, I owned my faith, accepted Christ, and never looked back. Though my spiritual walk is far from perfect, I strive to be a little more like Jesus each day by relying on the truth of His Word to direct my steps.
Gains & Grace
Fitness, faith, and a healthy body image—who knew they could all come together? But really, I believe that taking care of our bodies is a way of honoring the amazing gifts God has given us. And let’s be real: He didn’t create us to sit on the couch and watch Netflix all day (though, I’m not saying that doesn’t happen sometimes).
For me, fitness isn’t just about lifting weights (gains), but about embracing the fact that we’re all beautifully made. It’s about strength—both physical and mental—and reminding ourselves that the only comparison we should be making is to the person we were yesterday. So, whether you’re crushing a workout, diving deeper into your faith, or simply learning to love yourself more every day, let’s do it with confidence, laughter, and a lot of grace.

My Story & My Heart
I love that we all have a story. It makes us who we are today. This photo is one of my favorite necklaces, and every time I wear it, I’m reminded of the stories we hold, and how we are shaped by them. Here is a small part of my story…
Growing up, I was not the best at sports like my siblings but on April 28, 1995, I was given my very first “Buns of Steel” VHS tape starring Tammy Lee Webb. Everyday, Tammy and I (we were on a first name basis, she just didn’t know that!) would work out together. At age 15, I began my true fitness journey.
Through college, pregnancy, and the wild ride of hormonal changes (because who doesn’t love that?), being physically active was a nonnegotiable for my mental and emotional health.
Along the way, I’ve wrestled with that inner critic and negative body image especially when I’d see something in my reflection I didn’t like. With social media throwing beauty standards at us left and right, my goal is to connect with other women of faith and navigate this rollercoaster together—because we all deserve a little encouragement and a lot of grace.
God’s given each of us one body. My heart’s desire is to take care of mine through all the transitions and treat it as a temple where Christ resides while not allowing it to become my idol. I’m here to encourage you on your physical and spiritual journey of gains and grace too!
